'97 KR3 with original England made
screen |
At the first time, The Modenas KR3
project found by Kenny Roberts was in the deep vail...
It was announced at Malasya and the photographs of the test running were introduced
on Japanese motorcycle race magazine,RIDING SPORT.
When we saw the photographs, we thought that our latest stepped screen would
be usuful for the very small KR3 upper cowl. |
 |
We asked the fax number of the head office of Team KR to RIDING SPORT magazine.
We faxed our idea about the technical offer to the team.
A few days after, Mr. Chuck Aksland, Manager of Team KR gave us their reply....Shall
we have a meeting at SUZUKA GP garage.
We brought some sample screen to the paddock of SUZUKA. Team KR decided to use
our stepped screen at the race.
Then we received the super secret upper cowl of KR3 from Chuck. The dream project
had just started... |

'98 KR3 Mk2 Prototype and Kenny
Roberts Jr.
1998 SUZUKA GP |
The second year for KR3, The Mk2
prototype was wearing the super areodynamic bodywork designed
by LOTUS Engineering.
But, the original upper cowl design were difficult to mount the blow molded stepped
screen. We mounted the screens with CFRP trim. This technich was originaly from
the latest CBR1100XX CFRP trimed screens. |
